How Case the Wolf looks after your family's information.

Last updated: October 24, 2026

The short version

  • Kids can watch stories, sing, play games and read book previews without giving us any information.
  • Accounts are made by a grown up. Kids only use a first name or nickname.
  • We collect only what we need to run the site, and we never sell it.
  • There are no ads, no advertising trackers and no analytics trackers on this site.
  • Card payments happen on Stripe's secure page. We never see card numbers.
  • A grown up can ask us to see, fix or delete their family's information at any time.

1. Who we are

Case the Wolf (casethewolf.com) is operated by Jeramy J. Silverstein, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We follow Canada's federal privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

The person responsible for privacy at Case the Wolf is Jeramy J. Silverstein. You can reach them at info@casethewolf.com or through our contact page.

We do not ask children for their full name, address, phone number, school, photos or location, and we do not sell or rent anyone's personal information.

3. Children's privacy

Case the Wolf is made for children aged 5 to 12. Children do not need to give us any information to watch stories, listen to songs, play games or read book previews.

Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian, who confirms they are a grown up when signing up. We only ask for the child's first name or a nickname, and we ask families not to use a full name. There are no public profiles, no chat, and no way for users to message each other. The contact form, newsletter and shop are meant for grown ups.

If you believe a child has given us personal information without a grown up's permission, please contact us and we will delete it.

4. Cookies and storage in your browser

We use one cookie, which keeps you signed in and remembers your shopping cart while you visit. It is deleted when you close your browser. If you switch the falling snow or the floating ghosts off, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers, and our fonts and pictures load from our own website.

5. Outside services we use

  • Stripe processes card payments for the shop and Case Club+. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
  • YouTube hosts our story and song videos. A video only loads when you press play, using YouTube's privacy enhanced mode. Once a video is playing, Google's privacy policy applies to it.
  • Our web hosting provider stores the website and its information and sends our emails, such as receipts and password reset links.

Some links take you to other websites, such as Amazon for books, Spotify or YouTube for music, and the Case the Wolf Foundation. Those websites have their own privacy policies.

6. Where your information is stored

Information is stored on the servers of our web hosting provider, which are located in the United States. Information stored outside Canada may be accessed by courts and authorities in that country under its laws. Stripe may also process payment information outside Canada.

7. How long we keep it

  • Account information, coins, badges and reading progress: for as long as the account is open. When a grown up asks us to delete an account, we delete it within 30 days.
  • Orders and payment records: for as long as Canadian tax law requires us to keep them.
  • Contact messages: for 2 years, then deleted.
  • Newsletter emails: until you ask us to stop.
  • Security records for sign in attempts and password resets: deleted automatically about a day after they are no longer needed.

8. Your choices and rights

A grown up can ask us at any time to:

  • show them the personal information we hold about them or their child,
  • correct anything that is wrong,
  • delete their child's account and its information,
  • stop sending newsletter emails.

Send your request through our contact page or to info@casethewolf.com. We may ask you to confirm you own the account before we make changes, and we will reply within 30 days. You can change your child's nickname and your password yourself on the My Case Club page, and cancel Case Club+ any time through Manage billing.

If you are not happy with how we handled your information, please tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. How we protect your information

The whole site uses a secure encrypted connection. Passwords are stored as scrambled codes, password reset links work only once and expire after 60 minutes, repeated wrong passwords lock an account for a while, and only a small number of trusted grown ups can open our admin tools. No system is perfect, so if we ever learn that personal information was exposed in a way that could cause real harm, we will tell the people affected and the Privacy Commissioner, as the law requires.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we use information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is important, we will let account holders know by email before it takes effect.
